Instructions on installing/upgrading your current NovaBACKUP

• You must uninstall all previous versions of NovaBackup prior to installing this version of the software. We are currently in the process of working on the production quality installer.
• During this beta period we are also offering FREE space on our FTP server and on our NovaStor Web Storage Services. Please note that the data put on either of these free services will be destroyed at the end of the beta period. If you want to use our FTP server, please send an email to nbkbeta@novastor.com requesting login information. If you want to use the NovaStor Web Storage Services, just add the device through the Device Wizard and it will walk your through the registration, NOTHING will be charged to your credit card for this registration. If you would like to use your own Amazon S3 account, please send an email to nbkbeta@novastor.com requesting information about this.
• ALL correspondence must go tonbkbeta@novastor.com, as we have implemented a new way of tracking incoming defects and handling feedback.

Known Issues
====================

- Disaster Recovery is not included in this version of the Beta.
- FTP can not backup a single file that is over 2GB.
- Open file backup for 64bit Vista does not currently work. (Open File Backup must be unchecked for now)
- Uninstall does not delete all the various folders/files that are installed.
- S3 Backup of a large files is limited by amount of memory available in the system, with a max of 5GB of a single file.
- Custom Commands do not currently function (Run before and after backup).
- Help files are not included.
- Encryption only works on FTP and S3 at this time
- You are currently not able to import previous backups done by previous versions of NovaBACKUP.
- Importing a piece of media that has been appended to will only allow you to restore the first backup to that media.
- Spanning multiple tapes give a bundletag error and you can only restore from the first tape.
- Appending to tape media also gives a bundletag error.
- Backing up plug-ins(SQL, System State, Exchange) to tape also gives a bundletag issue.
- If you try to copy a file that is too big for the media you are copying to it does not say the media is too small in the log. Note that this is only for COPY nor for Backup, backup can span a single file over multiple pieces of media just fine.
